Why can't my Vacuum Egg Lifter lift the eggs separately?

The Vacuum Egg Lifter is not designed to pick up 1 or 2 eggs. It is designed to transport 10 or 12 eggs at a time depending on the model. This is due to the product needing air to be sealed completely in order to function. It acts as a vacuum.
